These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Shire platform operated at myshire.co (“Service”), operated by Shire (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Shire is a platform that enables independent service providers (“Providers”) to create online storefronts, accept bookings, and process payments from their customers (“Clients”). Shire is a technology platform. We are not a party to the service agreements between Providers and Clients, and we do not provide, guarantee, or endorse any services offered by Providers.
To use the Service as a Provider, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
Providers receive a unique URL (e.g., myshire.co/your-name) to display their services, pricing, and storefront copy (headline, intro, and theme). You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of all content on your storefront, including service descriptions and pricing.
Payments are processed through Stripe, Inc. via Stripe Connect. By creating a Provider account and connecting Stripe, you agree to Stripe's Connected Account Agreement and Stripe Services Agreement. Providers are the merchants of record for all transactions with their Clients. Live storefronts require Clients to pay online at the time of booking via Stripe Checkout (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other methods Stripe supports).
Shire does not charge Providers a platform fee on the service amount or on tips. Providers receive the service price and any tips collected at checkout, subject to Stripe processing fees described below.
Clients pay a separate tiered booking fee at checkout ($1.90-$4.90, based on the service price). Current tiers:
This fee is paid by the Client and does not reduce the Provider's service price or tips.
Standard Stripe processing fees (e.g., ~2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) apply and are paid by the Provider. These fees are set and collected by Stripe, not by Shire.
Clients may optionally add a tip during checkout. Tips are collected through the same Stripe transaction and are 100% passed to the Provider. Shire does not take any fee on tips.
Payouts are handled by Stripe according to the Provider's Stripe account settings and payout schedule. Shire does not hold funds or control payout timing.
There is no monthly subscription fee. Shire is paid through the client booking fee at checkout, not from your service price or tips. We may introduce additional plans or features in the future and will provide notice before any change affects your pricing.
For live storefronts, a booking is confirmed only after the Client completes online payment through Stripe. Clients receive a confirmation email. Clients who opt in at checkout may also receive a reminder text before their appointment. Providers may receive an optional text alert when a new booking is made, if enabled in their notification settings. Before connecting Stripe, Providers may preview their storefront without live payments.
Clients may cancel a booking using the secure cancellation link in their confirmation email (also available on the booking confirmation page). Each Provider chooses how far in advance Clients can cancel online for a full refund (12, 24, 48, or 72 hours before the appointment). After that deadline, Clients must contact the Provider directly.
Providers may cancel or reschedule bookings through their dashboard. If a paid booking is cancelled by the Provider, the Client is entitled to a full refund processed through Stripe.
Refunds for online payments are processed through Stripe. Refund timing depends on Stripe's processing and the Client's financial institution. Shire's platform fee is also refunded when a full refund is issued. As described in Section 4.4, Stripe's payment processing fee is retained by Stripe on refunded transactions and is not returned to the Provider.

By submitting content to the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content as part of operating the Service (e.g., showing your storefront to Clients). You may update or remove your content at any time through your dashboard.
You may not upload content that is illegal, infringes third-party rights, contains malware, is sexually explicit, promotes violence or discrimination, or is spam.

If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in the state where Shire is headquartered. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.
